I am having this error message : OSStatus error -208 trying to play a wav file with QT 7.7
Any tips !?
It is OK with QT 8 and + but I am troubleshooting why it does'nt work with Final cut HD

SOUND MANAGER ERROR
Error -208 (BadFileFormat) indicates the file is corrupt or unusable, or not AIFF or AIFF-C
Sounds like the sound manager wants to handle the file as an AIFF but, as you already indicated, it is really a WAV file.
Not sure what you are referring to by "QT 8" here. If referring to QT X or Mac OS X v10.8, then the problem could also be related to the core audio changes started in Lion and completed in Mountain Lion.

I was reff to QT ver 8.0.
The wav file would play in QT 8 and up to QT 10, but show as corrupted ou damage file in QT 7.7.
I am actually troubleshooting why my wav file would show as unuseable file when I try to import it in Final Cut HD.
I am printing this wav file with Pro-Tools 10.3.6. on a separate internal drive.
Could this have to do with drive format ? Or drive authorization problem ?
I will try other things next week, and check for core audio changes....thanks again ! I will keep you posted.
