iPhone 5 with iOS 7 randomly shuts off

Are any of you aware of iOS 7 randomly shutting down iPhones? Ever since I upgraded 2 day ago it has shut down at least 3 times. The battery was at about 18%, 20%, and 36% when it shut down. I don't believe it’s a bug with the battery percentage because it started back up as soon as hit the power button. Also, it is not due to overheating or anything else wrong with the environment. Nothing in the environment has changed except that I updated to iOS 7. Let me know if this occurs to anyone else and if there are any solutions pending?

the same thing is happening to me except my phone battery is still at around 85%-90% when it happens. like you said, nothing in the environment changed at all. the only thing that has changed is the ios 7 update. my phone has turned itself off about 6 times since the update and it doesnt even let me turn it back on, i have to wait for the phone to turn itself back on.

I have the same problem but I have the 4s. Ever since I installed ios7 the phone shut off for a few minutes and nothing can be done to bring it back. although holding the power and home brings it back faster. its annoying since it happens when I need the phone. I hope apple finds out whats going on otherwise Im going back to ios6. I looked at my diagnostics data on settings, about and there is all kinds of crash reports ever since ios7. things like panic.plist, GPUrestart, lowmemory and so many other things on there.

Hi Guys,

I may have found a solution as i tried this and it hasn't turned off randomly since.

Follow the instruction for DFU on the link.

I read about panik.plist saying that it means it is a hardware issue but i don't think it is since my phone has been working fine for about a year and then starting to act weirdly when i installed ios7.

Hope this helps.

I'm having this same issue on my 4s. It's shut down at random times, and at least one time when I had more than 50% battery left. Maybe 6 or 7 times since I've installed IOS 7. When I try to bring it back up, I get a screen that shows that I have no battery life left (one red bar) and that I have to plug in the phone. The only way I've been able to bring it back up is by plugging in my external battery pack. When it comes back up, I have plenty of battery life left.

I've just installed the 7.0.2 patch, but it didn't say anything about resolving this issue.

GUESS WHAT!!!

I have the same issue, fantastic.

I have done the DFU Mode restore firmware. I have the phone with absolute factory settings and none of my contacts or data whatsoever on there. Its Factory with IOS7 7.0.2.........And it keeps turning off.

Its very frequent for me, every 20 mins maybe. I have caught a glimpse of the screen just as it shuts off a couple of times and noticed a green screen once, and another time the screen just had artifacts, then quit.

I need to know if this is IOS7 or if its a hardware issue.

Anyone get anywhere yet?
