after I updated my iPad mini to ios7, the keyboard has been slow. Any ideas how to fix it? I tried restarting it already. Also, how do you clear apps now? I pushed the home button twice to bring up the apps, but I don't know how to delete them. I tried holding the app down to make it shake but that doesn't work anymore.

I got the same issue, Do not know how to fix it, looks like a ios7 bug.
to close an app. just double click home key, then slide the app up you can delete it.
To clear apps swipe up on the app. You might want to try resetting all setting it has helped some. Also try setting>general>accessibility>increase contrast turning this on reduces a couple animations which some say shows an increase in speed.
lagging keyboard problem can sometimes be resolved through a hard reset. Hold both home and sleep button until the ipad shuts down and the apple logo re appears (14 to 15 seconds).
