No AirPlay icon in control center

Apple once again being so clever has hidden the airplay icons of other enabled products ,so one has to press hard on the mirroring icon for other airplay equipment to show up of course their own Apple products show up...

Apple please stop changing things just for the sake of it leave well enough alone.

make sure your iphone and airplay device are connected to the network correctly.

had exactly same problem. Simple fix for me and hopefully you, is reset your router. I pulled the plug, waited 20 secs and then plugged back in and luckily enough the Airplay icon came back to both my iPad and iPhone. Some weird glitch.

I've got iPhone 5 and iPad 3, both running iOS 7. Btw this also fixed my wifi sync with iTunes, which mysteriously stopped working as well.

I was having the same problem until I realized Airplay was set to "off" on my apple tv.

If airplay doesn't show up in your control center, check settings->airplay on your apple tv and make sure airplay is actually turned on.

I am having the no airplay icon issue too. I am trying to connect to my wireless speakers by Pioneer that specifically have the airplay icon on the box and say will connect. I don't have a google tv which I shouldn't have to have even according to the manual for the mini. iOS 7.0.4 q

I struggled with all of these issues. Here is what fixed mine. in addition to being connected to the same wifi, I actually plugged my apple tv into the router with an ethernet cord. worked right away. no problems now.
