My iPhone 4S keeps displaying a message that my storage is almost full. I only have 116 photos and 32 videos (not including photo stream) and that is the bulk of my data. Now it won't let me take any new pictures. Help! Thank you.

No one has mentioned how to delete pictures from iPhone, except one by one. I have 14,000-pictures. Where is the delete button? I have them on my computer that does not tell me what folder it it (iCloud, iCloud drive, photos, iCloud photos) way to many folders.Which one to delete. I cannot find any way to delete them from my iPhone.
Lucky you ! I've got 10 pictures no music or films or videos and the 8 gb phone is already full... I've been advised to get android phone as then I can add more storage.....but sorry I've only got 10 photos and I didn't know how to delete .

Transfer the photos and videos to your computer.
You can not add storage to an iPhone.

Verify they are on your computer and you should be fine.
Make sure you back up your computer regularly.
Awesome, thank you. If I back up my computer to an external hard drive, do I need to do anything in addition to ensure the photos and videos are backed up there, or will they be backed up there automatically?

PC or Mac? Do you use backup software? Time Machine?
If your computer currently backs up automatically and the photos & videos are in a loaction that gets backup then no worries.
It is still a good idea to check the back ups every once in a while to be sure they are ok.
I have a Mac and backup with a My Passport (I think...looking for it to verify). I'm not sure if my computer backs up automatically or not, or where it would back up automatically to if it did. I'm not too Mac savvy :-/
Do you know how I would check the backup on a My Passport?
Plug it into your Mac it should show up on the desktop then double-click on it and see if there's any information there
