My music videos now only play in verticle mode not landscape since ios7

I have an iphone 5 and since I downloaded ios7 I now can't watch any of my downloaded music videos in landscape mode. If I turn it then I get the album list of my entire Itunes library when in landscape. Any ideas?

Hi Cubsfaninaz,

Apple have confirmed this is a loss in functionality in IO 7.

YOU CAN'T WATCH MUSIC VIDEOS IN FULL SCREEN WHEN USING MUSIC PLAYER....do you believe it!!!!

The video player plays the videos in full screen but you can't queue up the music...useless!!

All you can do is complain and hopefully they rectify it in the next update.

Wow! Absolutely speechless. I spent an hour and a half on chat with two different reps on Friday! I understand they have other bugs but this is the first time

Apple has really ticked me off. If it isn't a functionality lost ios7, this was a basic feature. If

How do you screw up a basic function just so we can see all of the album covers. That's an important feature I could care less about the album covers. I was basiCally told by the rep at apple to just deal with it.

I love being told that $500 dollars worth of videos can play one at a time and that in portrait mode they are an inch tall.

Deal with it! Totally ticked off at the developers! Then don't load the option of the playlist in the new iOS!

Will the videos play landscape if the type of video was changed to movie? It's been a while since I've done that - had to spend a lot of time figuring out the best arrangement for me. I like playing music videos and music in a list that will play each item only once and then drop off. Only way I found to get around shuffle that keeps playing the same items again and again. Can't even remember if we can do playlists for movies that way. My preference is to allow both orientations - depending on my situation I use both. But not to have landscape is a HUGE pain.

This is so disappointing! I would never have updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7 had I realized that I would lose the ability to view Music Video playlists in landscape mode! And the bright white area around the video makes it that much less acceptable... especially when 90% of the reason I have the iPhone is to view music videos when I'm on the treadmill at the gym. I was going to purchase the new iPhone 5S next month, and only upgraded my iPhone 5 so I could test out the new iOS first. I'll give Apple the benefit of the doubt to change this in the next couple of months, but otherwise the only solution I see is to ditch the iPhone and buy an Android phone.

ANSWER.

Apple changed the functionality in the music app and added the ability to view your music videos in the videos app. This works for both the iPad and iPhone and you can view in full screen. Also an additional note, if you try to airplay a music video from your music app it doesn't work. It does however work from the video app.

Hope this helps. :)
