iTunes has .xml and .itl files -- is there a similar file from my iPod Touch backup?

iTunes has .xml and .itl files that say what's contained in the library; is there a similar type of file contained with the backup file for my iPod Touch? I lost my music from a restore, but would like to see what was there before it got deleted. I can access the backup, but don't see amny .xml or .itl files, so (if there is such a file), I don't know what to look for, or then how to open it.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

I know that the backup doesn't include the actual music files -- what I'm hoping is stored is some sort of music list, like the list I can have for 'Previous iTunes Libraries' type thing.

Also, are you sure about the apps? When I restored my iPod then used the backup, all of my apps were re-uploaded, with all of their data...
