Do Not Distrub exception apps

I see that DND allows exceptions for contacts, but I need to allow certain apps to notify me while DND is active.

I turn on DND while I'm sleeping, but apps like my home alarm controller (iSmartAlarm) and my server monitoring service (Pingdom) need to wake me if something is out of order.

I'm often up working until 2 or 3 am, so it's important that my phone/messages don't start making noise at 8am. If a server goes down, however, I need to know no matter what time it is.

Is making an app an exception to DND a possibility?
