I did what you said, thank you. Though, the song isn't there, the icloud download button next to the song is? If that makes any sense. It still says I have the 30 songs even though I did what you said?

Sorry if this isn't making any sense, I am frustrated and it's hard to explain what is happening to my phone.

Did you try going to Settings>iTunes & App Stores and turn Music to Off under Show All?

If the actual songs are in your iTunes library (i.e., they don't show a cloud symbol), then uncheck the songs you are trying to remove from your phone on your song list, then connect your phone and go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings, check "Sync only checked songs and videos" and click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.

The songs are stuck on my phone and when I plug in my phone to itunes it finally shows the songs on my phone but I cannot delete them. These are the songs that it says I have "purchased" but I didn't physically buy them? I went to my account using itunes on the computer and I found the "hidden purchases"? It lists all the songs that are stuck on my phone and can't delete. Do you know where to go from there?

Sorry, again, if I'm confusing. I've done a lot of trying to figure this out over the past few hours.

Try unhiding them in iTunes by going to Store>View Account, sign in with your Apple ID, then in the iTunes in the Cloud section, click Manage next to Hidden Purchases, click the Music tab, then click Unhide next to the songs. Then try what I said earlier about unchecking them and syncing to see if that made any difference.

Ok so I just synced my songs to my phone and on itunes, "on this phone" says the "hidden songs" are on my phone and when I look at the songs on my phone they are hidden. It's good, yes but they still are technically on my phone and it's using space. Wasted space I could be using for other songs? Is there a way to delete them forever?

I also tried deleting them from "on this phone" but it doesn't even give me the option.

That's the weird thing. The "hidden songs" aren't listed on my itunes unless I plug in my phone and look under "on this phone". Those songs are checked.
I doubled checked my phone for the songs and it says that the thirty songs aren't taking up space so I was wrong about that. Thank goodness for that but I'm still OCD about having songs that I didn't actually purchase.

Like I said, the songs say they are on my phone but they actually are not.

Click iTunes Store in iTunes, then click the Purchased quick link on the right, then click the Music tab, then click Not On This Computer on the top right. If the songs are listed there, they aren't on your computer and need to be download from the iTunes store again (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

What your describing is normal if songs are on your phone but not in your library. They only appear when you connect your phone as you said.
