Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.

Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).

Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I had the same experience, the one syncronized folder was overwritten by the next one. What I did was creating one photo folder on the PC, and then I transferred several other photo folders into this first one. When you synconize that basic folder, the other folders inside will spread out nicely under your photo app on the iPad.

Transferring files between iPad and PC is a hassle. I would like the iPad to come up as any harddrive. I use this transfer a lot for music recorded by my band and for videos recorded by myself. Apple is interfering all the time in this process by renaming my music files and spreading my videos around.

I have had enough. Next time there will be a device with Android.

Aren't you using iTunes?   It should allow you to choose files or photos to sync with iTunes.

I'm using iTunes. That's not the point. The initial problem of ANCUR was that you cannot sync more than one folder from the PC and to the iPad. If you are trying to sync another one, the first one is overwritten. I therefore found out that if you want your pictures to be classified in folders on the iPad, you can create one picture folder on your computer, and then transfer you other forlders into this first one. Then you are syncing the whole bunch in one operation.

Great Bucko61. Apple has made a lot of trouble for users when coming to transfer files to and from the PC and the iPhone or iPad. iTunes must be the dummest (for the customer)  of all Apple applications. I'm frustrated by the fact that Apple is interferring with my use of my product. I also have an Android smart phone and I'm using that one more and more. I have a 4S, but there is not going to be any 5.

Another program that makes the filesharing more easy is Syncios. However, Syncios is using parts of iTunes so iTunes has to be installed.
