iOS 7 took away the ability to play videos continuously.

iOS 7 took away the ability to play videos continuously. I have some TV shows my daughter watches and use to be able to hit play all. Now you can only do one at a time. Any idea how do change this?

We used that function every day for our son (Little Einsteins TV Shows). Ok, so they did remove it for now, but I figured out a way to make it work in the interim. Go to the TV Shows that you're watching. Select them, right click, GET INFO, OPTIONS, then change it from TV SHOW to MUSIC VIDEO. It will then move the selections over to your music section. It's ok, you can always move them back when the fix is made on 7.0.x... The picture size won't be full screen, but it does allow you to shuffle or play thru continuous. I did it on our iPad 2nd Gen and works fine. Just not the same, but better than not at all. Hope this helps.

This is how to get the music videos full screen

 Double Tap your screen with 3 fingers

 To resize the zoom, Double Tap your screen with 3 fingers, and hold the last tap. Use all

three fingers and scroll up to zoom in and scroll down to zoom out

I don't know if someone posted the following solution yet or not. I don't know about the ipad becasue I am trying it on the computer.

HERE IT IS: Go to the itunes preferences and make sure the videos are NOT set to skip when shuffling under the OPTIONS tab. I selected all my videos at once and chose that option. It seems to have wokrd on my computer. I haven't tried it on the ipad yet

"For everyone using itunes on a Mac - there is no right click. "

Are you serious? There's been a right-click for years... at least since Tiger OS X. It's not enabled by defaul, but can be switched on in your mouse and/or trackpad settings (in the latter, it's either clicking the bottom right corner, or tap/click with two fingers.

This is pretty awful. I loaded a bunch of videos on my phone and it won't play them continuously. Apparently I have to use itunes on my PC ⚠* to set them to music so they even show up. Podcasts, videos, music, each has a seperate program with strange foibles. Who on earth watches one 3 minute video and then wants to pick another? Has anyone at apple actually tried using this horrid user interface?

* - horrible - worst program ever.**

** - I take it back the healthcare.gov website is the worst program ever. But it's the worst desktop PC program ever.

I was similarly frustrated by this loss of feature and found the option greyed out. I have thankfully found a different way to play continuously. You need a different video app - there are several free ones to choose from which are compatible with the latest iPad operating system (IoS7). I tried Titan Player but I am sure others would be equally effective. Next you need to find the location of the videos you want to watch. If you sync via iTunes on your PC, the videos are saved in a folder on your PC which you can locate by right clicking on the video from your library section of iTunes and clicking on "Show in Windows Explorer". If you click just to the right of the final folder listed in the folder bar at the top of Windows Explorer, it will state the exact location in a format such as C:\Users\Your personal username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\TV Shows\Name of TV show\Season #. You may need to copy this to clipboard (CTL+C) as the whole Music folder remained concealed in iTunes when I first tried to find it. In the case of Titan Player, you then need to change the names of the files so that they are in alphabetical order for the order you want to watch them (if they are not already) e.g. Episode 01, Episode 02... or 01 Music Video, 02 Music Video...

Next I went to my iPad section of iTunes and clicked on Apps and scrolled down to the File sharing boxes and Added to Documents for the video app I had downloaded. As the folder was concealed, I needed to paste the folder from clipboard (CTL+V) which then revealed the available videos in that folder. Select all the ones you want to add. After syncing with your iPad, Titan Player initially displays in the order they downloaded which is rather annoying but clicking on the Tools icon within the app on your iPad gives you the option of "Sort by Name" - hence why you needed to name them alphabetically. It has worked brilliantly since. I am sure there may be better Video apps where you don't have to rename files or that have a shuffle option but this has done all I wanted it to do so far.

Hey everyone, I found a pretty simple workaround. I don't know that it will work on an iPad, but works fine on my computer and there's no affect on the video size and no need to download extra applications. It all functions normally.

1. Go to the Music library.

2. Select Playlists (located at top horizontal menu).

3. Create a new playlist.

4. Your new playlist should now display on the right side of the itunes window.

5. Now you can go into any of the other libraries and just drag and drop into the playlist.

6. Click the Done button when you're done adding episodes to the playlist.

Now that you have a playlist created, you can keep adding on to it - say you want to store all TV seasons under one playlist. To do that just :

1. Select your desired playlist.

2. Click on the Add To option located directly underneath the iTunes Store button (top right).

3. Now the playlist should appear on the right hand side of the iTunes window and follow steps 5 & 6 from above.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions.

If you are looking to play the files continuously & full screen then please change the files in iTunes from TV Shows to Music Videos as detailed by 'Schmit' earlier on in the thread... but then use this app to create a music playlist and it will also play the videos full screen.

'Music Video Deck'

Simple to use and also free in the app store. Works a treat 🙂

My little one can now watch Doc Mcstuffins to her heart is content 🙂

Tried it. I need it to play from my ipad and when I tried it. It gave me this message "previously purchased music videos from the itunes store was encoded with Fairplay (DRM Protected) and cannot be played on third party apps. These items cannot be added to the playlist due to this restriction. Please select Fair play free music videos"

So it doesn't work at all. So frustrating.

iOS 7 took away the ability to play videos continuously.
