Help with apple ID change!

I changed my email address so I changed my apple ID, however, my phone keeps prompting me to enter my password for my old apple ID (which is clearly invalid) and will not give me an option to type in my new apple ID. How do I fix this? I have successfully changed my ID on icloud (via pc) and app store, but the icloud on my phone won't change!
