Went over the steps and all the setting are correct including background updates... iOS7 update seems to have killed the ability to find friends unless the friend has the app open all the time... Now I can only see my friends who HAVE NOT updated to iOS7.

This is a problem because most of my friends dont leave apps open in an effort to conserve battery life.

I sure hope Apple fixes this...

Yes, the same Problem After updating to iOS7. Wie are three Persons with the Same iPhone & Same iOS. The only difference are in the mobile data. By me there is no "find My friends". In the other ones they appear.
Please APPLE fix it
