Q: unexpected shutdown

2 month old AIR

has shutdown twice in past 2 weeks

1st time - could not restart righ away but an hour later I was able

2nd time- held start button down to count of 10 and let up and then hit start button and it worked

Should I worry, I don't want to spend 2 hours drive and time in genius bar!!

If it does not misbehave in genius bar, will they say we can't solve this unless it is not working!!

Is there a kernel panic log?

"If a kernel panic occurs, information is added to a log file in the folder /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports.....The name of each log file in this location includes the date and time when the kernel panic was logged."

This would be available to you in your Console Application. Check it. Post the panic in your output, if applicable.
