Having problems with the last apple tv update?

If you get a screen with the image of a white cord and the iTunes icon, that means the update failed and you will need to restore your apple tv by connecting it to your computer and iTunes.

Here are the instructions:

*** Micro usb: you either buy one or you can use your blackberry or any android cable (the one used for charging, one end is the micro usb and the other end is a full usb).

After you connect your apple tv to your computer, start iTunes. It will detect that your apple tv is in recovery mode and ask if you want to restore it.

Thank you to everyone who helped find a solution on the other threads!

My ATV is buried within my entertainment unit and I can't tell you what a pain in the ___ it was to even reach it, no less disconnect it and hook up the micro-USB to my MacBook Air. The 'airhead' who let this so called "update" get onto the network should hopefully by now be looking for new employment. And, that goes for the QC/QA department knuckleheads who did not TEST the update first. I spent well more than $100 of my own time to fix a unit that only costs $100 !!!

Unfortunately I have the same problem... teaches me not to be one of the first few people to upgrade. I guess I won't be upgrading to the iphone 5s for a while.

In any case, last night I requested to update to see the new iRadio feature. This morning I came back and saw the dumb light blinking.

This is too bad... love the products until now, but this feels wrong that now I have to get a mini usb connection just for this.

C'mon Apple... get the things right! At least pull the plug on the upgrade, don't get millions of people upset.
