Q: iCloud not Syncing Documents/App Data

I got an iPhone 5s this morning, and had previously updated my iPad and iPhone 4S to iOS 7 two days ago.  I've noticed today that iCloud seems to not be syncing properly for me.  Day One, which uses iCloud for syncing data, perpetually tries to upload from the iOS device but doesn't seem to be reaching the server.  Similarly, when I create an entry on one of the two Macs that I sync with iCloud they do not appear on one another.  Furthermore, when loading Pages in iOS on the new phone, I don't see any of my documents.  I see many of them on the Mac, which I assume are locally cached.  I've turned off Document syncing and turned it back on, and have restarted all devices a number of times.  Is there anything I can do besides wait for Apple to straighten itself out?  Is anyone else having a similar problem?

    @CR500.

I'm definitely still having this problem (Clear, Pages and keyboard shortcuts)

You're right about icloud.com. Trying to access Pages just logs me out!

Developers behind the Clear app tweeted:

Been experiencing issues with iCloud over the last couple of days? Give it a try now.  seems to have fixed some issues w/iCloud today —N

    https://twitter.com/UseClear/status/381869533335519232

But I'm still experiencing iCloud doc/data sync issues.

Mine just started working, I did t end up doing anything to fix it. I hope that they are rolling out the change across their servers and yours will start working.

Same here. I first noticed the issue while using Clear but it is affecting everything.

It lists nothing under Document & Settings on my MacBook Pro, iMac, PC, iPhone 5S and iPad Mini.

Here is how I got there on my iPhone 5S and iPad Mini:

Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage

There are no Document & Settings showing. It only shows Backsup and Mail

    On iMac:

System Preferences > iClod > Manage

There are no Document & Settings showing. It only shows Backsup and Mail

Here is a screenshot from the iMac...no apps are listed here. I need apps like Clear and Pages to work over iCloud as I'm sure all of you do as well. I'm hoping this gets fixed sooner than later. It has been an issue forthe past three days.

Same for me. Noticed it on Sunday when working on an iPad Numbers document and it persists until now. The edited document just shows the upwards arrow in the top-right corner, but nothing is actually uploaded to iCloud...

I, too, can no longer log-in to the beta versions of Pages, Keynote and Numbers on the iCloud website - though other iCloud services seem to work fine.

    Hope they sort this soon...

I too cannot sync my documents and data from certain apps. In addition, I can log into my icloud.com account, but when I try to access my Pages (Beta) it logs me off to the Sign in to iCloud prompt. I have had a case open since Thursday, and my case worker is no longer returning my emails and voice messages. This is very annoying.

Very same problem here since yesterday. Do you believe I should call Apple Support as well or it won’t be of much help? Please keep us posted.

I don't know if you guys use Clear, but the developers behind them have basically confirmed what I've been experiencing:

NB: I'm also affected by Pages and Numbers like you guys.

Good info laughinman1 - thanks.  That is the exact issue I was experiencing.  It seems that Apple is aware of the issue (mine lasted for approx 3 days) - mine was fixed on Sunday.

I didn't change anything, but I had tried adding my iCloud account to a pristine install of Mountain Lion just to make sure I wasn't crazy - it also did not sync Ubiqity / ~/Library/Mobile Documents.  Everything started working later that afternoon.  I've heard others on twitter report the same issue and later report that it just start working for them.  I hope you guys are back up and running soon.  Its a very frustrating issue b/c there is no fix on our end.

I just called Apple iCloud support about this.  They eventually found that there is a lock on my account for some reason.  They've escalated it to figure out what's going on.  They are thinking it potentially has something to do with me being a develor and having iOS 7 on my phone before the release, which I'm not sure about.

Did anyone else having this issue have any of the betas installed?

Either way, call iCloud support and report it.  The more people that call the better, hopefully they'll get it completely fixed for everyone.

I'm having the same problem. Called them today and got transferred 4 time supposedly to someone that could help me because that was there area. But when I told them my numbers app was not syncing they didn't no  what numbers was thought it was a 3 rd party app. So I explained to the it is one of they apps in the iWork apps. So of course I didn't get an answer. But said they would sent me an email so I could contact them later when I had more time to wait on hold. But guess what I never got the email!!!!! Imagine that..  For the amount they charge for all there products I would expect better service and upgrades!!

I am indeed a Licensed Developer, but with a different Apple ID. Besides, I hadn’t installed any betas on any of my own devices.

I’m hesitant to call Apple Support because I live in Brazil, while my problematic Apple ID was registered when I lived in the US. This iCloud glitch has already been posing me too many problems, and I don’t want to hear that I’ll have to transfer the country associated with my account. Do you believe I’ll eventually get my Apple ID fixed even if I don’t contact a support representative?

Thanks a lot for all the useful information!
