Q: iCloud not Syncing Documents/App Data

I got an iPhone 5s this morning, and had previously updated my iPad and iPhone 4S to iOS 7 two days ago.  I've noticed today that iCloud seems to not be syncing properly for me.  Day One, which uses iCloud for syncing data, perpetually tries to upload from the iOS device but doesn't seem to be reaching the server.  Similarly, when I create an entry on one of the two Macs that I sync with iCloud they do not appear on one another.  Furthermore, when loading Pages in iOS on the new phone, I don't see any of my documents.  I see many of them on the Mac, which I assume are locally cached.  I've turned off Document syncing and turned it back on, and have restarted all devices a number of times.  Is there anything I can do besides wait for Apple to straighten itself out?  Is anyone else having a similar problem?

My iPhone and iPad are slowly catching up with each other. My Mac, though, logs only this when I toggle Documents & Data off and back on, without populating the ~/Library/Mobile Documents directory:

Works back for me. My apps sync again. I've just reset my Apple ID password and sent a feedback to Apple but I guess this didn't help anything, just those guys are starting resolving the issue.

Just throwing in my $0.02 that my 3rd party apps seem to be working now as well.  Either the MacWorld article galvinized something or they happened to get things fixed just after it went up.  Either way, I'm a happy camper again!

    Hi all.

After reading the excellent article on Macworld, I came back here and saw that some folks were having success.

I opened Numbers on my ipad and all my spreadsheets appeared...even the ones that had been altered during the outage.  All spreadsheets seem to be in good order.

I also went in to GoodReader and was able to move files both ways in and out of Its "iCloud" folder.

Haven't been to a computer yet to test iWork in the cloud but I am hopeful of the outcome.

Thanks to Dan Frakes for the Macworld exposure.  I don't know if it helped, but it certainly didn't hurt the effort.

Thank you Macworld. My account's is no longer ubiquity locked (whatever that means).

Clear Pages and Numbers syncing again.

I guess I should thank Apple too =P

Found that actually only my macs were working back, not my iOS devices. I've tried several things but stil didn't work. There's a software update (7.0.2), I've installed it, everything works back on the iOS device. There is no mention of an iCloud issue in the description of the update, but it did the trick for me.

Joy! Apps are syncing again, and iCloud Manage Storage shows all apps and documents.

I hope that it's working for all!

Thanks to AppleCare, Corporate Executive Relations, and Apple engineers for their help with this issue.  You rock!

Yes, after updating my iPad to iOS 7.0.2, the 3rd party docs are syncing now! Finally.

That's what's going on for me too!  A ubiquity account lock out, lasting now for 6 days.

Interestingly, I CAN log into icloud Pages online, but I cannot sync data through my Errands To-Do app.

Also, though I show the ubiquity error in Console, I do see iCloud data on my iPad and iPhone.

7.0.2 seems to have squashed this.  I think I could log into Pages only after it was released but hadn't updated both my iphone and ipad, so it hadn't synced data between devices yet.

Seems 7.0.2 fixed it; odd that there was no mention of it in the notes.  Trying to prevent bad press about iCloud not working (again)?

It may just be a coincidence regarding 7.0.2. I think I updated this mornig, adn at that time it was yet to be fixed.

I bet they've just figured it out and are rolling out the fix.

Maybe.  But I don't think so.  I couldn't get my apps to sync until I upgraded both my devices to 7.0.2.  I updated one this morning and that did nothing.  It wasn't until I updated the second this afternoon that it started working--and within minutes.  Can't be that much of a coincidence--within 2 minutes of the second device it works?

For what it's worth, I installed iOS 7.0.2 on my iPhone just before I read that the syncing problem had been fixed. I checked my Numbers/Pages apps and they were syncing as as they should. Great.

I then went to check my iPad which was still running iOS 7.0, and that wasn't syncing at all. I installed iOS 7.0.2, went back to those apps, and all my documents were back syncing.

It had to have something to do with the update.
