Try triple-click the Home button (must be quick)

    AGAIN

First time ever seeing the guided access. I DO NOT have a passcode nor ever set one up yet it is asking for one. I tried the Lost mode, home and power button for 2 MINUTES....NOTHING, and i tried just the power button for 2 minutes and still nothing. I tried connecting it to itunes but thats not working either.

    1. You will have to restore your iPad/iPhone to Factory Default.

    2. Restore from a backup that was done before you enabled the passcode.

I had the same problem. In my case I guessed my password and got-rid-of guided access, but in any case, this information is really helpful. Thanks for sharing it!

Anyone know other solutions.  I'm locked out of my iPad.  I've tried a hard reset.  I've tried syncing it.  I've tried restoring it.  I keep getting an error message.  I updated my itunes on my laptop and still have the error message when I try to restore it.  I don't know the passcode for guided access... I set it last year.  I thought it would have me enter a new code and it didn't.

aredd34 I think I can help.  I got stuck in Guided Access and I was trying all sorts of passcodes, trying to remember what I'd put, but just got more frustrated.  However, I figured it out.  Go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple Id and password.  Go to Find My Iphone.  Then at the top go to All Devices and choose the device you are having troubles with.  Then click on Lost Mode.  You don't have to enter a Phone Number, but I entered a message (don't know if you have to).  Unlock your device and hold down the home button and power button until it shuts off.  Yes, it may not have worked before, it didn't work for me at the beginning, but now it did!  It should work perfectly fine after that!

CitySneaks I've got an iPad Mini and if your phone's software is ios7, follow these steps:

1)Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears

2)When u see the apple, wait until the screen locks automatically. (sorry i dont know english i am turkish so i can make mistakes)

3)Then hold the power button until "slide to power off" screen appears

    4)Power off.

    5)Open again.

That works (if it doesn't i dont know what can u do)

I got flappy bird on my school iPad and I used guided access because I kept clicking on adds. Then I tried getting out and it wouldn't let me. I've tried everything and they haven't worked and my computer is too old to try the iTunes thing. Is there anything I can do? (I've shut it down for a very long time)

There are several solutions that do not involve iTunes in this thread. Read through it.

Also, you can finish your iOS device battery to become 0 and put it on the charger

And when it open again the guide access will be disable
