My iPhone4s won't register on any pc it only charges when connected via usb

Other iPhones are connecting to iTunes and various devices iPods of all sorts. Established the issue has to be something with the phone however iOS 7 hasn't solved the problem. What else can I try?? All adjustments need to be done on the phone as it's not recognised via the USB. Funny though it will play music through a music radio USB.
