Music & podcast apps not working since iOS 7 update?

Since updating to iOS 7 I have been unable to access any of my music or podcasts. The apps open but do not show ann files. Has anyone else had this problem and ideally has anyone found a fix? I'm on holiday and have no music which is really rather frustrating!
