The search box in the iTunes store is GONE. How do I search for things?

All of a sudden the search box in the iTunes store will disappear but not all the time. Occasionally it's there and I can purchase music. How do I get it back? I would like to look for more music and there doesn't seem to be another way, aside from spending several hours scouring through the menus to find something.
