After ios7 my ipad 4th gen is fast but hangs with no response from any of the buttons or touch pad

I bought ipad (with retina display) with ios 6.0.1 but I recently upgraded to ios7.

Post that, today I had a serious problem. When I used Music app, after some time all the input mechanisms stoppd; no buttons worked; no input possible from the screen. I had to restart by pressing the power down and the central circle button together for 10 sec to reboot the ipad.

Is this a specific proble with the ios7 or with the music app or with my HW. I have never faced this problem before I upgraded to ios7.
