iPhone 5S Home Screen icons shifting glitch???

Hey guys, I have this issue as well. I have been using the first still "Nebula" wallpaper and when I changed it to the second "Earth from outer space" wallpaper, this happens a lot less. When using some other wallpapers, this issue happens again. Do try this out and see if changing to certain wallpaper help.

I am using a custom wallpaper and the "glitch" is significant, distracting, and relatively frequent. Has Apple acknowledged the issue? Any confirmation of whether it is hardware or software related?

Shutting off motion pretty much eliminated the issue besides the app stretching issue. Sometimes when I open an app it almost looks like tics stretching to fit he screen a second after it's opened. But at least the annoying app icon shifting is gone.

It's could be because of iOS 7 parallax feature. Try turning it off in Accessibility.

It's not a software or hardware glitch it's just the parallax effect added in ios7 where the icons move when you move the phone that's why they look not aligned...

if you don't like the effect turn in off in settings>general>accessibility>reduce motion

Did anybody check the gyroscope? Maybe the problem is a compination of paralax and shifted gyroscope. Open the compass app, swipe to the left and place your iPhone in a flat surface to check if the angle is 0.

I have the same problem. I took delivery of my 5s yesterday and noticed it straight away. I still have my iPhone 5 here for comparison - both of them are on 7.0.2 and there's no sign of the bug on the 5 😟

I too have this issue. It also happens in apps like Safari. The tabs would be leaning very far to the left rather than the centre which is meant to be correct.

I got the same problem. The "zoom out" effect when returning to the home screen from a app was smooth on my iPhone 5. I upgraded to the 5S and noticed it immediately. It is NOT just the parallax effect, I was using IOS7 on the iPhone 5 without the issue for weeks. Also, I have not noticed it on the iPhone 4 and 4S running IOS7 that we have in our household. Seem to only affect iPhone 5S.

I got the same problem here. Seem to only affect iPhone 5S. I got no problem with my old iPhone 5. I hoppe it's not a hardware glitch.

I think it is a hardware glitch. Haven't you read the news, iPhone 5 S has calibration issue with its sensors. I do believe they can calibrated through software And fix issues.

I have this same issue as well. I feel like my screen is adjusting itself. I thought I was just being too petty but I guess I'm not the only one!

I also thought I was being too picky, but based on the fact that Apple has historically paid attention to even the smallest details makes this pretty annoying for those of us that notice the glitch.

I came from the 4s and noticed that the wallpaper and icons shift around based on the gyroscope. The issue is not with this new UI enhancing (and probably battery draining) feature that can be disabled in Accesibility-->Reduce Motion. The issue is directly related to the UI animation when coming out of the app switcher. It seems as thought there is a small piece of animation missing at the end which makes the app you are going back to (or homescreen along with icons) shift around and snap to fit the screen. While It is a minor issue that doesn't really affect the functionality of the phone, for those of us obsessive compulsive individuals that notice every minor detail, it is a very annoying glitch for a phone of this price-point/caliber... Hopefully Apple can fix this with the next update.

Sometimes I hate paying so much attention to detail, but I'd rather at least know I'm in the matrix than just accept it as reality. 😎

I am extremely upset with the quality of Apple recently, RIP steve jobs!

I honestly think it is a problem with the 64-bit structure, thats the only difference between that issue on iPhone 5 & iPhone 5S....HOW COME the "S" version can be stuttering/slower than the normal version?

My iPhone 5 was running EXTREMELY smooth, in all aspects...I really feel that the S is sluggish, stuttery and just not even in par with the iPhone 5...

I really do think its a hardware issue, do you want to convince me that the wuality team in Apple didn't notice that VERY VERY VERY noticable stutter when they were testing?!?

Really, if that is not fixed in the very near future in the coming release, I am ditching Apple for good!

Has anyone still noticed the icons shifting after the ios 7.0.3 update? Mine is better but I still notice a slight shift to the right by the home screen icons when I return to the home page.
