iOS7 iPad Belkin Keyboard - Not Working

I have a Belkin iPad Bluetooth Keyboard Case.

Keyboard Folio Model #: F5L114:

After updating my iPad to iOS7 the only keystroke/button that works is the "Keyboard" button which will toggle the on screen keyboard on and off. Attempting to repair the keyboard accomplished nothing, however I did learn that when prompted to enter the bluetooth 4 digit code for pairing the keyboard was able to send the 4 numerical digits and striking the return key did succesfully pair the keyboard to the iPad again.

At this time I have no solution to getting the keyboard to be responsive with the iPad. If anyone has a solution for this please speak up, if not Apple please help- The Belkin "Customer Support" pages/contacts are horrible for this. There is no assistance to be had at Belkin at this time.

Thanks! This really helped me. At first i thought it wasn't working and then i realised that instead of using the actual number 1 or 2 you have to use which ever key the Bluetooth sign is next to it and highlighted in blue. It shouled look something like this:User uploaded file

Sorry its upside down and not that great quality but i hope it gets the message across.

I had to send my Belkin keyboard pad after it stopped pairing. Performance was annoyingly on and off before that, too. And the so-called instructions for pairing that come with the thing? Phhht. Could they be any more vague? I only figured it out by trial-and-error. Would it have killed them to add an step-by-step how-to? Now let's see if it keeps working.

I have a Belkin keyboard, and an iPad running on IOS 10.3.3. Yesterday evening, my keyboard went nuts, each key giving wrong responses, sometimes two letters, sometimes mixing the order of letters from the way they were input, etc., calling Siri every time I hit the "C" key. I tried all the protocols suggested. (Turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on, forget this device, and try to re-connect.). Finally, I used the last resort suggested, which was to re-set the iPad. I've done that, and now the keyboard is apparently working properly (I'm using it now), but you have to re-enter all your passwords, and somehow, although it recognizes my Apple password, it won't let me in to texting. The little circle goes continually, and I can neither cancel out of that screen or go forward. My goodness, but these things can be a nightmare.

iF iOS7 broke your keyboard, unfortunately it's up to Belkin to make their keyboard work with iOS7, not the other way around.

with the on screen keyboard people have had to go into the settings and reset all settings to clear up issues. And I had to re'pair my keyboard to my ipad, so you might try that. Tell your iPad to forget the keyboard, then re'pair it.

I am also having this issue. My Belkin iPad keyboard / folio case was purchased in mid August. I followed the directions and it connected just fine and was working great until I updated the iPad to iOS 7. Now the keyboard will not connect or pair. A quick message pops up with the 4 didget code but then immedetly a message pops up saying "Pair Unsucessful - Make sure "Keyboard" is turned on and in range, and is ready to pair - OK."

I have tried re-booting the iPad and still this happens. having issues here and I blame the iOS 7 update.

Apple please advise.

I'm also having post ios7 update problems on iPad mini with Belkin Bluetooth keyboard. I went int settings and got the iPad to forget the keyboard. Now it won't pair. I get prompted to add a random 4 digit pin and press enter key on the keyboard then it fails to pair. This worked perfectly with ios6. Luckily still under warranty so I think I'll return the belkin keyboard. Unless someone knows how to fix it?????????

I too had the same problem. no matter how hard I tried my Belkin Keyboard would not connect to my iPad. it would attempt to connect but the pairing would always be unsuccessful. i tried everything, re-booted my ipad, turned my ipad on and off, turned bluetooth on and off, etc. NOTHING worked. I read all these articles blaming Apple and the iOS7 upgrades and Belkin but eventually I found the below instructions online that sorted everything and now it works perfectly.

Here are the instruction on how to pair your keyboard with your ipad:

1. Go to the Home screen on your iPad and tap on “Settings > General > Bluetooth.”

2. Turn Bluetooth to “On.”

3. Turn on the keyboard and press and hold the “pair” key.

4. The Status LED will flash blue on the keyboard and the keyboard will show up under “Devices” on the

tablet. Select “Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard.”

5. A code will appear on the iPad screen. Enter this code followed by the “Enter” key using the keyboard.

6. When pairing is complete, the iPad will notify you that the pairing was successful. The keyboard will then be

paired to your iPad.

7. If after 60 seconds pairing fails, you will have to repeat the steps above. You can view the status from the

screen of the iPad.

8. You can now use the keyboard to type onto your iPad.
