My iPhone 5 won't charge after iOS 7 upgrade?

I have a iPhone 5 and this morning i upgraded it from iOS 6 to iOS 7. When the battery was low, i had to put it on charge. After 2 hours i checked bu it was still switched off. Before my battery died, i put the charger in and it said "This cable is not certified".

How do I fix this?

Ok so here's what happened to me I woke up at 3 cuz my phone rang when this error occurred and so I googled some stuff and asked my brother who's a programmer and knows a lot about this stuff and then I read the ios7 policy and with the update you haft to have a sertified charger and mine came with my iPhone so why would end it be sertified, anyway so I plugged it into my computer were it can run a thingy and then it asked if I trusted the computer and I said yes then my phone started charging again, then I took it of the computer and plugged it into the wall again and it charged so there's not much to it and that's how I fixed mine but I also have an iPhone 4 not five but if it's on the policy then it should work the same.

My IPhone 5 doesn't charge either. Before battery was totally gone it was charging. But then I ran out of battery and now I can't charge it anywhere, I can't turn it on so I can't do the reset and the things they say here and in other forums. If I plug it in to my MacBook or other apple computers they just said the usb was deactivated because it was demanding too much energy, pc doesn't even recognize it and I'm completely sure my cable is original apple.

I contacted Apple about 20 times and ONLY 1 of them could help me! They told me i have 165 days of warranty left, so they will give me a ORIGINAL FREE charger. So i would say you should get a ORIGINAL charger from Apple by contacting them.

If you have a warranty then it will be free. If not, then it will cost £25 in the UK and $19 in USA.

BTW i have a appointment with Apple Retail Store, so i will get my charger today!

You can check if you have a warranty by contacting Apple.

I drained my battery yesterday and it wouldn't charge anymore too. It didn't even recognize the chargers (Apple original USB Lightning cable, Lightning cable with power adapter, MicroUSB-to-Lightning adapter and certified car charger) and when I pushed the power button on the device, the screen popped up that a cable needed to be inserted in order to charge it, even though the cable was in.

I've tried everything... A different cable, different computer, different power outlet, different MicroUSB cable. Every single option I've tried, but without success.

Then I decided this was a problem for Apple to solve, so I created a repair request on their website. It said that I should not send the accessories and take out the SIM-card. And miraculously the phone started charging after I got out the SIM-card! Still no luck with the MicroUSB-to-Lightning adapter, but the cable and the power adapter seem to work now. Even after putting the SIM-card back in.

Strange... :-S It looks like it's charging now and I will let you know if it came back to life later.

is it worth backgrading. My iphone was fine until this evening and now its going nuts, I had to plug it into the laptop to instigate charging, but even then it keeps charging then not charging then charging again. Original apple cable that came with the phone. There are many ghosts in the machine with iOS7, this is just another new one I hadn't experienced yet.
