Web based Google translate crashes iOS7

Every time I attempt to open google translate via safari since upgrading to ios7, safari crashes.

Does this happen for others.

This is a disaster ias it is one of my mist frequent Ly visited web pages. (The ap is too inferior to the web based version for me to want to use it instead of the web page . Safari should work with all web pages on the ipad.

All I can offer is that I went to translate.google.com and was able to use the site on my iPad 2 running iOS 7.0.2 without issues. I also tried Chrome and it works too, no messed up hearder bar. Safari did not crash on me. I don't think I was just lucky. There's something gone haywire on your update. You might try a reset or a restore.

Chrome had a fix for the header bar a few days after release of ios7, which is nice, because safari 1os7 shuts down when one attempts a visit to the classic mode of google translate. The mobile version works, but not the web-based full featured classic mode, which worked perfectly well in iOS 6.

I just told you, no, it doesn't shut down on the "classic" mode. I'm running iOS 7.0.2 on an iPad 2 and Safari does NOT crash when I visit the non-mobile version of Google translate. So why does it crash on your system and not mine? Hint, it's not iOS 7. It's something on your system, some corruption, some glitch, some cache. And from your posting it doesn't look like you've done a single thing to troubleshoot your issue. Why is that?

Just did the latest upgrade, and there is no change on the ipad 3. Safari crashes in ios7.0.2 in we based google translate on the ipad 3. I'll check at the store again tomorrow. There was no solution offered at the store last time, but maybe they will have something to try. I can at least report If the store iPads still crash.

Sarah, this is also happening to me when I try to open in classic mode. Apple should be alerted to it. Ignore Ikrupp, because he clearly does not really care about what you are having problems with. He just says his own is working fine so it's you that's the problem. Safari crashes on iOS 7.0.3 when google translate in classic mode is opened on it.

I think they mean web based Google Translate in Safari "Classic" view. The "Mobile" view works fine in my iPad ios 7 but the classic view crashes. You have this option a bit further down on the translate site. If you use an iPad or iPhone the "Mobile" view should appear. If it's not, clear your webbrowser cache and cookies. Then the "Mobile" should appear and you can use it. If you then click the "Classic" option it will still crash but what the hey...there are bigger problems in the world!
