Photos App: Change the background color

In iOS 7, the background color in the Photos app was changed from a dark grey to white. The color does make the app seem like part of iOS, but now it detracts from viewing my photos. The white make the photos look washed out.

Has anyone figured out how to set the background color to a dark grey, or to a darker color?
