Q: my Apple TV Gen3 update

The started the update and every thing seem fine.  The unit blinked all night so it been 18 to 20 hours.  The TV screen has a picture of the back of the Apple TV with a cable pluged in below the HDMI slot and the iTunes sysmbol.  What does mean?  How do i reset or restart the Apple TV?

AppleTV 2, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

You need to restore it by using a micro USB cable and connecting it to iTunes. Many people are having this issue.

    1. Unplug Apple TV and move it to your computer running latest version of iTunes.

    2. Quit iTunes if running.

    3. Plug micro USB cable to the back of the Apple TV.

    4. Power the Apple TV using  the AC cable.

    5. iTunes shoud either launch itself (a good indication that the micro USB cable you're using is compatible), or launch iTunes.

    6. Click Restore. Software will download and install (big file).

MANY people are reporting they've had to try different micro USB cables until they found one that worked. I had to do this as well (luckily my neighbor had on in a drawer).
