I just bought a new macbook. WHat essential programs should i buy/download to take full control of my new apple notebook? Along with programs and software, what other kinds of stuff is important to have or just fun and useful?
iWork is also a great Office program that is made by Apple. It is also universal which will allow it to run faster than Office on the MacBook. Hope this helps.
I think you'll find Omnioutliner, which came on you Macbook, to be a very valuable note taking tool. I would recommend one of the following for the same purpose:
1. Notetaker or Notebook
2. Devonthink
3. Stickybrain
Notetaker or Notebook either one, are applications that you can use in class to take and organize lecture notes and both will also be very hand for Internet and library research. If you need further detail just let me know. Will be glad to talk to you about any of these recommendations.
What about accesories besides software (a nice case, laptop stand, external mouse/keyboard?) Help us "pimp" these new MacBooks we invested in for the collegiate experience. Thanks.
