New alert chime selection not working

I have updated to the OS7 on my 5 successfully and am attempting to change alert tones for texts, email, etc. to some of the latest. In Settings/sounds I have selected new tones and my phone appears to have selected the new tone (there is a check mark next to the new tone). When I recieve an email my phone still 'chimes' with the old tones.

The problem is that the Notifications settings override the Sound setting. Under Notification find your email, text, whatever, under in the Notification Center. In there there is another place to set the sounds. This setting overrides the general one set in Sounds.
