How do I set my computer up to ask for a password at start-up?
MacBook Pro 2.16Ghz Intel Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.6)
Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Accounts -> uncheck the box marked "Automatically log in as: ".

Open System Preferences (under the Apple menu), Accounts, select your account, click the lock to make changes, click "Login Options", deselect "Automatically log in as".

That will do two things. [1] Alerts readers to a possible solution to their problem. And [2] It adds points helping the contributer reach the next level.
