Control center

I cannot use control center when I'm using a protective case "Lunatik", although the notification center works, it seems you need to start the swip up from below the screen but cannot do that because of the case, any suggestions other than removing the case? It would be great if Apple can move the active area of the swip up area or if give other options to start the control center like double tap or something...
