swipe to answer phone

Is there anyway to turn off the swipe to answer the phone so you can directly answer or decline the call? Thanks.

The swipe to answer is the worst idea EVER introduced. How anyone at Apple could think this was a good idea is beyond me. Answering a phone should be a simple process - press the home key or a large button on the screen LIKE IT WAS in earlier iPhones. To ask a user to SWIPE is an inconvience beyond comprehension.

This should be fixed as soon as possible to allow users to select an alternate way of answering a call (home button or large text green button). If I had known this behavior I would NOT HAVE UPGRADED TO A 5C. If anyone else feels this way please add your comments to show Apple you are not happy.

I love the phone but PLEASE remove the need for swiping to answer a call and make it easier to use!

Yes they do. It's virtually impossible to answer the phone with one hand. Just using my thumb to try and swipe doesn't seem to work all the time.

It's almost like you have to go from one edge of the phone all the way over to the other edge in order for it to work. Someone told me it might be a problem with my screen ... I suppose but I doubt it.

Basically I wish they'd just give us the ability to select how to answer the phone when the screen is locked. I know it sounds silly but if you're a person who gets a lot and required to set a short screen lock time you start to appricate the smaller things. 😉

Unfortunately my phone is a corporate (supplied by my company) and we are required to enable a passcode regardless if it's an iPhone, BlackBerry, or Galaxy phone. 😐

The thing is, we shouldn't have to do these silly work arounds. This reminds me of back during the iPhone 3GS days when we an update to the iOS at the time shortened the battery life. Apple told us to turn off these various things and to close out any apps that could potentially be draining the battery.

Apple needs to fix or at least acknowledge this.

And it's an easy fix for them! 😕
