Sep 21, 2013 8:14 PM in response to Mickie-Deeby GeekBoy.from.Illinois,The answer will depend upon the cover you use. Most coers offer the ability to connect your cable without remving the cover, but some do not. It is all up to the maker of your cover.
One example I can give you is the Mophie Juice Pack Air. This cover is an external battery pack as well as a case for the iPhone. FOr this reason, it uses the Lightning port on the iPhone for the battery connection and requires you to use wifi sync, or to remove part of the cover to use the Lightning port. The iFrogz cover I have has an opening and I can connect my Lightning cable without removing the cover from the iPhone.

Sep 21, 2013 10:10 PM in response to GeekBoy.from.Illinoisby Mickie-Dee,I use a Para Blaze CX case on mine. It has an open bottom (exposed speaker/head jack/connector), but I could not use the regular 30-pin to 8-pin adapter (too wide) and had to use the 30-pin to 8-pin adapter with the cable. The connector head is attached to a narrow plastic head, which allows it to reach the phone.
