Selected later on my 2nd Generation Apple TV now is later update won't work.

I am on version 5.3 I have a 2nd generation AppleTV model: MC572LL/A. I selected later when it asked me to update on Sat SEP 21 2013. Now is later, I select Settings > General > Update Software, it says I'm up to date. About says I am 5.3 not 6. I also did a restore, still 5.3. So no version 6 because I selected Later. Does later really mean never?

How do I do an Update from 5.3 to 6 If "Settings > General > Update Software" doesn't work? And doing a restore and download doesn't work?
