If you accidentally swipe up and touch the little picture of the moon, you turn on "Do not disturb"...i thought mine was not on when i looked at the settings, but when i swiped up again...i could see that it had been turned on accidentally.  That swiping is driving me crazy.  It happens when I don't want it.

I have the very same problem, no vibrations at all. I am also pretty sure all my settings are ok since I work as an iOS developer.
    iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.2.
    Did anyone find some solution?

Swipe up from the bottom of your phone screen. You should see a gray screen. Make sure the moon on the top row is black. That will assure that "do not disturb" is turned off. That solved my problem.

It appeared correct on my traditional settings screen, but on this one the moon was white (indicating "do not disturb" was on). Once I switched it to black(off) my phone worked (had sounds and vibration) again.

Can you report this feedback directly to them and have them address it ?
I am pretty savvy with iOS as well and I know it's not a settings problem, seems like an annoying hardware issue when i upgraded -.-

I have the same exact problem. Have tried all the fixes. Nothing has worked. Obviously, some type of bug. Apple, PLEASE fix quickly.

OK guys, this worked for me. I was in a quiet room and I somehow heard that when I toggle the vibrate switch in Settings->Sounds (both for the Vibrate on Ring and Vibrate on Silent in iOS 7) on and off something was ticking but wasn't coming from the speaker. It was from the inside. The sound was really weak and hard to notice. Anyway, I thought that little slap on the back of the phone won't do any harm. I slapped, but not hard, really slow and weak, near the Apple logo and magically, on the next set of the vibrate switch I felt the vibration.

So, for me, it wasn't a software problem, but more of a hardware one. I would note here that the iPhone is a brand new, iPhone 5s. In my opinion if it was a software problem many more people would have noticed as well.

Also, I do not recommend slapping the iPhone, you better take your iPhone to the Apple Store and let a genius see it.

So I just tried this. Wow it vibrates but it seems like the vibrator is stuck or something. I'll open up the phone to see what is going on in there.

  • nzdravevski Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

yeah, it vibrates but not at all times. it seems after I put the phone to silent for the night (using the hardware switch near the volume buttons) the vibrations are gone again even when I put it back to ring in the morning.

this is really annoying and im disappointed.

Same problem here with my iPhone 5.   The it vibrates briefly as it is supposed when i flip the silence switch or plug it in to recharge, but won't vibrate at all on incoming calls/texts in silent mode despite all the settings being set correctly and Do Not Disturb, etc. being set properly and toggled many times.  Worked perfectly until the iOS 7 upgrade.  Also yesterday the voice navigation in Maps was silent even in non-silent mode and despite resetting all sound options.  Yet Siri's voice works fine.

same problem here - IOS7 updated on iphone 5. vibration gone.

  • riwibb Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

    OK I was being stupid.

When you tap on "RingTone" it takes you to a list of available Ringtones. On top of that screen, there is a vibration screen. I had it "none" there.

I agree. same vibration, everything is turned "on", and i am holding the phone while messages are coming in and no palpable vibration. Not on night mode, tried hard reset. iphone 4S.

  • ladydocsings Level 1 Level 1 (0 points) co-worker has iphone 5, updated to ios 7 and is now having difficulties with "swiping" in lock screen to answer phone calls.
