ipad passcode lockout, restore not possible because of Find My Phone enabled

I just installed IOS 7 to my iPad. I have forgotten my passcode. In an attempt to resolve this I have gone to iTunes and tried to Restore Backup on my iPad. I then get a message saying that can't be done until Find my iPad is turned off. That can't be done because of the passcode problem. What do I do?
