iOS 7 revert

I've updated my settings to iOS7 and on the whole its good; however no matter what I try I am unable to download Facebook app or any other apps. I have an error that says "unable to purchase at this time please try later" how many days later!!!

I've had the same problem for several days after upgrading to iOS 7, in some cases I was able to download a few apps, but when trying to download a few specific apps, I kept getting the message 'Unable to Purchase [program] could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later.'.

I tried to log out and back into App Store, I restarted my iPhone, I changed my settings to download updates in he background etc, but nothing worked. I started noticing today that the apps had an icon showing that they had already been downloaded but were not on my phone (cloud with a down arrow), but no matter what - I'd click the button to download, would be prompted for my password, waited a few seconds, and then I'd get the message again - 'unable to purchase'.

I got a tip from a friend to change the language on my phone (I'm in Norway, using the Norwegian App Store, but phone settings set to English (US) language). Changed the language to Norwegian, and voila - the apps downloaded fine!!

Actually ALL the apps I had been trying to download in the past few days downloaded automatically...

This is probably the most frustrating thing I have encountered. I was very excited to get iOS 7 when it came out and I am very dissapointed that I have encountered this issue. What's even more frustrating is that it doesn't just interfere with downloading Apps it happens with songs, vides etc. as well. Very frustrating. Hopefully a fix is on the way or someone figures out how to solve this.

The keyboard language switch worked for me, thank you!

I am in the U.S. and I had the Standard U.S. English, Spanish and Emoji keyboards on. I turned two off and just changed the English to a different layout (I don't know if it's necessary to do all of them, I just figured I would mix up all 3 as a trial & it worked!) and now my iPhone 4 is downloading new apps:)

I wouldn't have tried this (I did the reboots, etc., but my iPhone already has a few issues because of corrosion around the charger plugin area and I attributed the app hiccup to the same hardware problems) so thank you for this post:)

I also tried switching the language of my device, removing all keyboards, and changing the layout of my English keyboard and I still get this error.

The "purchase" (though I'm only testing free apps) seems to go through as the app appears in iTunes almost immediately. I can get the app on my phone by clicking "Install" and syncing it to my phone. It's a work around and requires a computer, so this is not ideal. It should just *work*. I've also removed and re-entered my payment info in iTunes.

I tried calling Apple and we reset this and that...and restored my phone. The error persists.

This is a pretty horrible issue.

I had to delete all my keyboards, and then put english as my only keyboard, and it worked. The first couple times it didn't but after some quitting/restarting of apps and deleting/putting the keyboard back in a couple times it was successful.

Download the apps and then add emoji or whatever else you have.

This sorted it for me:

Backup your iPhone to iCloud (I believe backing up to iTunes will work too). Now go to "Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings" to completely restore your iPhone to factory settings. Assuming you've backed up to iCloud, you'll be asked when setting up your iPhone if you want to restore from an iCloud backup. Choose that option and once your iPhone has restored itself from your backup, this annoying problem will finally be gone! (was for me anyway).

To restore from an iTunes backup, connect your iPhone to your computer, load iTunes. Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up.

Thanks for the advice, A full restore sorted this problem for me. I simply backed up via iTunes on my iMac then 'erased all contents and settings' on the iphone, plugged back into iMac and restored from backup. Very happy this bug has been resolved for me. Anyone without computer access should have no probs restoring from iCloud backup.

Thanks again joebetro.
