You can't get the old calendar back. However, there are lots of other calendar apps in the App Store. Perhaps one of them will meet your needs. Week Cal, for example, has a month view almost exactly like the one in the iOS Calendar app.

Best of luck.

Hey Nnaomi...I totally agree. I am not feeling the calendar for this upgrade. The months are all running together now...not separately. The icon showed the correct date (Saturday), but when I opened it up, it still showed the day before circled (Friday). I like the swipe page on my iPad with the older version. Even though when I hit the arrow for the next month on my iPhone it would open up to schedule an appointment, that was better then this version. This one is just too plain...no pizzazz! So far this is the only thing I dislike with the new upgrade...SO FAR!!! (LOL...LOL)

IOS 7's calendar is terrible. I cannot view the content accurately/efficiently because of the new screen layout. I am a heavy user of the integrated IOS calendar and need its connections to other platforms... So replacing with a third party app is not a good remedy.

This does not bode well for my business or personal time management. I am considering leaving Apple for the first time.

Any calendar app I have ever installed on my iPhone or iPad uses exactly the same data as the built in app. They are all just front ends for what ever calendar you have set up in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calender. My primary calendar is Google. I can see that information in the built in Calendar app, in Week Cal, in Cal (my current favorite) or any other calendar app. So, yes, a third party app is a perfectly good remedy.

The new calendar is sure different, and I didn't like it at first. Now that I'm learning the new way to use it, it's going to be okay. If this was the first iteration of the calendar, then I would never have disliked it. My problem is that I learned on the old calendar, and teaching an old dog new tricks is not easy. There are other parts of IO 7 that I'm still having problems with. Oh well . . . .

Change can be challenging but often worth making the effort. 🙂
