Can you set up windows through bootcamp with windows 7 OEM System builder

Can you set up windows through bootcamp with windows 7 OEM System builder or will i need to get a ful retail version of win7? And if possible an explanation woud be extremely appreciated.


Really lost on this topic, im sorry if i have put this in the wrong place or already had a current question/answer somewhere on here.

You can use the System Builder version to install Windows, but only if it wasn't used with another computer. Also, make sure you bought it from Amazon or NewEgg, because a version used by a manufacturer may have been modified to be used with their PCs. Follow Apple's steps to install Windows 7 > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.8.pdf
