I have updatec my apple id on my pc but cannot on my iphone for itunes ie email automatically populates

I have updated my itunes id and login on my pc but i cannot on my iphone 4s it automatically populates my old email adddress. how do i change it?

have you tried to go into

settings->itunes & app stores and tab on the old appleID and click logout and then login with the new?
