It doesn't work. I've just read a thread over on Sonikmatter that verifies that Logic does not quantize during recording. A solution that involved a particular setup in the environment was offered but... Anyway, thanks.
Oh wait, I think I see what you're saying. It's very unpredictable but it does seem that after pressing stop, the notes move into position, sometimes. I'll have to look into this more I guess.
One more question. When you're in the piano roll and you start recording, Logic hides the notes that are already there. Is there a way to prevent Logic from hiding the notes? I normally use those for reference as I'm layering more notes.
to not "hide" the notes, after the screen comes up from double clicking a region, double click the background of the window and all your midi data will appear.
Also, hit the "x" button while the arrange window is open, it took me so long to find that window but it is the BEST! logic's default quantize setup will be the one shown in the window when no regions are selected in the arrange
