If the statement is true that "One must leave the application running for it to work", I can say that this will wear the battery down at a much greater rate. Thats not cool at all.
Testing at this moment, I can say that I can see my daughter right now at college, but I do not know if she has her app running, I would doubt it. I could not see my wife, but when she clicked on her app to see me, I could see her.. then I closed my app, but she can still see me. It appears I can see my daughter any time, I cannot see my wife unless her is open, and my wife can see me anytime.
To sum, it appears to be inconsistant with relationship to being opened or closed.
Apple phone, Apple OS, Apple Application... looks like we need an update.
I can only wonder if Apple performed all the testing required before releasing the new operating system.
The new OS7 load also knocked out my PNC Virtual Wallet application as well. Although that is not Apples issue, it is now mine...
