Q: Air print problem after iOS7 update

After iOS7 update, I can no longer air print to my HP printer.  I can see "Recently used printer", but when I try to print, the message says it is off line.  i have rebooted iPad, router, and printer to no avail.  The printer works fine with my PC.  Help me, please?

After you have tried all the above, and it still isn't working try this. Turn off your IPv6 on your printer.

Menus vary but on my HP deskjet 3520 it is at Settings->Wireless->advanced settings and set IPv6 to off!

    It worked for me.

I have a first generation IPad, which does not support IOS 7, therefor i am still using the older software on my ipad. I have an HP Photosmart B210 printer. I never had a problem printing until recently. I tried all of the above suggestions but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions for me other than buying a new IPad??

    Hi all,

    I have the iPad Air.

I have an Epson Printer. I had the same issue. What I did was to go to my printer's control panel. Delete the network setting and reset up my printer on the network. I think that is what fixed my problem.

I still have another issue with printing. I am printing from Notes. I select the printer press print. Ok so far. The page prints ok but Notes locks up. I can't use notes at all until I exit out of notes and restart notes.

    Anyone have this issue.

    John

Unfortunately, none of these solutions worked for me. I have an Epson XP-610, and I've been using AirPrint from several iOS devices for a while. This morning, however, I always get "No Airprint printers found" from everywhere.

This is going to drive my family crazy because they depend on printing from an iPad for school.

I got to work finally. I had to actually unplug the printer, not just turn it off. I let it sit unplugged for a few minutes, and then I plugged it back it. Once it came up, my devices could find it again.

I have an iPhone 5s and an ipad 2. After ios7 I can longer print to my HP Officejet 8600. The printer is listed as if I could print and sometimes it even says "printing page 1 of 2...." ect but has not printed a darn thing in quite some time.

Ok, now I'm ******. I have yet to get this to be reliable again. Last night, I went for the nuclear option. I collected all six iOS devices in the house, and I forgot my network followed by reseting the network. After that, I reset the network on the printer, shut it off, and unplugged it. Finally, I unplugged my Airport Extreme for 2 minutes. I then plugged it back it, brought the printer online, and finally added the 6 iOS devices back to the network.

Everything worked! I thought I had the problem licked, but I was wrong.

After all the reseting and testing last night, my daughter went to print her HW from her iPad this afternoon, and she got "AirPrint printer not found" again. This is ridiculous!

Apple, fix this issue! I'm not exactly light on technical knowledge (I'm at CTO at a software company). This is basic functionality, and it isn't working reliably. BTW, this is only one of several basic functions that haven't been reliable since iOS 7.

Is the printer connected to the AirPort Express via USB? And what is the firmware version of the AirPort Express? Thank you.

The printer (Epson XP-610) is not connected via usb. It is all wireless. The Airport Express version is 7.7.2.

    Thank you.

Have you installed any software updates recently or updated the printer's firmware?

What version of iOS 7 are your devices running? Are they all running the same version?

I'm trying to duplicate your environment as closely as possible to reproduce this.

    Thank you again.

John Blanchard1:  DUDE!!!!  Can't you see that MANY people are having the same issue with IOS7???  All with different printers, etc??

We simply CANNOT go around and reset our routers and printers and devices each time we want Airprint to "Find" our printers!

    FIX THE ISSUE!

My 2 cents is that the printers are going into sleep mode and simply resetting all of that equipment resolves the issue TEMPORARILY, until it goes to sleep again.

Why are you directing your comments at me? I didn't make any suggestions, nor am I going to fix this.

Sorry, from your response, it looked like you were a tech from Apple.  My bad.
