Q: how to override a past backup

I have a backup from 6/18/13 on my iPhone 4. Need to do a restore on my phone. Is there a way of doing a iCloud backup over the one from 6/18? Don't wanna do it on top of the one I recently did a few days ago.

iPhone 4, iOS 7

Do you mean you have a restored backup on the iphone.  You can't have a backup on the iphone.

When you do a backup it's from the device to icloud.  The wording in your post isn't clear whether you want to delete a specific backup in icloud or do a restore from a backup to the device.

Maybe you can help me. I downloaded IOS 7 on Saturday September 21 and all was fine. Mt last iCoud back up was at 4:06pm, last night I lost most of my contacts. i then sync'd my device automatically and that probably wiped out my contacts. my contacts are still blank along with my phone contacts. Can I restore from an upload on iCloud on a previous date? if I can how do i do it? Also, my Apple devices are all backed up all the time my contacts and calendar are still good on my ipad. 1 note I do not use Outlook.

I couldn't help you without knowing whether you want to delete a specific backup in icloud or do a restore from a backup to the device.

Since you say "I do", then to restore another backup on top of the one you first restored, just do another restore.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.  If another, older backup is listed then choose that.

Did I say anything about deleteing a backup? NO!! I made it perfectly clear on what I wanted to do. You clearly can't read. And, You have not helped me in anyway what so ever. Like I told you before I do have 2 backup's on my iPhone. And, I can take a screenshot picture & prove it.

I'm not young teenager. I'm a grown man. I know how to restore my phone and do a backup. Like I said before, That has nothing to do with I wanna do.
