I lost one of my notes in the iOS7 update. How can I get it back?

I upgraded my phone when the iOS7 released and one of my notes containing all of my passwords is missing. Im pretty sure it was on my phone in when I backed it up recently. How can I get my note back? Will restoring the phone from a backup bring the note back even though the backup was made under an earlier iOS? How can I get my note back?

My husband updated his iPhone 4 to iOS7 as well as the recent updates. Yesterday he noticed that most of his notes were missing. He did find five of them in his gmail account under notes, but these were the ones that did not get deleted. He had not put his notes on the iCloud back up and does not sync or back up on the computer. I tried all sorts of things mentioned here and on various other forums. We were not willing to download a recovery tool.

What did work was a gmail search of his trash. I typed in:trash label:notes No space after the colon and a single space after the word trash. We think all of the missing notes were there. I have no idea how they got in the trash, although he regularly deletes emails.

I hope I have been able to help someone.

If you have back up your notes, you can restore from the backup.

To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:
1. Right-click (or Control-click) the device and choose Restore from Backup
2. If you have a new phone, you can connect to iTunes and it will prompt to restore from your backup

If you have no backup for your data on iPhone, iPhone data recovery software is your last shot! I used iTunes Data Recovery and it worked well. It's easy to use. Just a few clicks you can get all your notes back. Here is a step by step guide for you: http://mcaf.ee/2b0h5

hi Shallah, your notes were missing probably because of the upgrade of your iPhone. You've mentioned that you've backed up your iPhone, then how to retrieve deleted notes on iPhone?

1. Launce your iTunes and navigate to Edit > Preferences (on Windows) and iTunes > Preferences (on Mac).

2. Now, go to the Devices tab and make sure to check the “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically” option. This way you will make sure that iTunes ill not try to delete any data from your iPhone such as your songs or videos upon sync

3. Now connect your iPhone to your computer and with your iTunes open, then go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. You will see a window with all of your backups listed on it. Click “Restore from Backup”.

If this way cannot help, why not try some recovery software? Like, iPhone notes recovery.
