Q: I am just wanting to limit access to games. I still want my kid to have access to books, the calculator and limited apps such as dictionary and other reference material. I want the devise to be seen as a tool but limit the distractions. Any sugestions?

Absolutely. The app we use is called Parentkit and we love it. It allows the parents to schedule when apps can be used and even disable them instantly from a swipe of the screen remotely from the parents own iPhone/iPad. We love it.

Lllass. Take a look at an app called Parentkit. It's an impressive app for parental controls and I'm sure it works on iPods too.
