"Recently Added" Playlist not updating!

My "Recently Added" Playlist on iTunes does not update after syncing my iPhone with iTunes. The only songs that show up on the "Recently Added" playlist on the iPhone are songs that were in the playlist before I upgraded to iOS 7; any songs I added after updating do not show up physically on the phone, but do show up in the "On this iPhone" section on the computer.

Anyone else having this issue/know a workaround?

iPhone 5, iOS 7

Hello,

I had this problem for a number of years. I just figured out the resolution. Connect your i-pod to your computer, click on the i-pod icon that appears, in place of where you would normally eject your i-pod. You will open up a window that has two boxes. (this is in your summary) One box is labelled i-pod class and the second box is labelled options. In the options box I, originally, checked the options for, sync only checked songs and video and enable disk use. I unchecked the box for sync only checked songs and video and just have the box checked for enable disk use and clicked done (in blue and in the lower right hand corner, of your screen). My i-pod, recently played playlist, now updates whether my i-pod is connected or not. Finally it works properly. Hope this helps someone!! Peace and Blessings

Hey there.

I had the same problem. It's actually a Bug from the iOS, not from iTunes.

Im pretty sure that it has to do with the cache memory that the Music App has.

The problem happens when you are using the Music App and you left app in the playlist section: It sort of remember, like a picture, the last list you had in the case of "recently added". Here is the solution that worked for me, for my iphone and for mi iPad.

1. I turned the device off and on (I really cant confirm if it has something to do, but i just did it).

2. Open de Music App.

3. I FINISHED whatever song, list, album, etc, was playing, so no audio was in the "now playing" status.

4. I when to the Artist section.

5. I closed the Music App.

6. I synced the device.

And since then it works perfect, but i do always close the Music App in the Artist Section with no song in the "now playing" status.

Hope it helps!
