Dec 8, 2014 3:29 AM in response to Pablo Cesarby Alan Mushnick,I would like to be able to play Spotify on 2 speaker systems at the same time.
It seems like Airfoil and their associated Airfoil remote would be the only solution at this time. I agree it is a cumbersome set up. I have not yet tried it. There is no good reason why Apple can't allow this to work from an iOS device, along with ways to adjust volume separately.
This is a "sonos killer" app that must be do able. Many would pay for it.
Keep me in the loop here. Thank you.
Alan

Dec 8, 2014 8:28 AM in response to Alan Mushnickby bobafettbrad,I totally agree this is a Sonos killer for a much cheaper entry, however, I will bet someone at Apple is really good friends with someone at Sonos and that is why it doesn't exist and probably never will. This is also why monopolies and mega corporations are a very bad thing. Until then Whaale is the only option (http://www.whaale.com) which doesn't support 3rd party apps. Happy listening.

Jun 13, 2015 4:24 AM in response to Pablo Cesarby Haggisuk,Hi have to agree, we are still waiting for a resolution to this Apple, I hope your listening, for example in my household we have an Imac, Macbook pro, Apple tv, 2 ipads, two iphone 6's, Time capsule, Airport express, sonos play1 x2, sonos connect amp, airplay compatible pioneer amp and can I easily listen to my music sources no I can't!
Its frustrating, yes I can listen to itunes to more than one device from Imac or macbook but who wants to be tethered to that?
What about when my music i want to listen too is spotify or something other than itunes, i can't play them to more than device.
All the music that I could ever want to access can be had from my iPhone in my pocket, but again I can't do it from there either.....
Please Apple, it can't be too much to ask that you implement the ability into ios to airplay to more then one device, and not just from iTunes.

Jul 9, 2015 3:37 PM in response to Pablo Cesarby Marc S69,man is this dissapointing it has been two years and apple refuses to enhance AirPlay for iOS for more than one device. i am at a loss for words. Third party apps and tethering to macs, maybe would acceptable if this was the 20th century. I am shocked that there is not more pressure on Apple regarding this issue

Oct 20, 2015 1:13 AM in response to Marc S69by rzanc,Just been reading that Google will have a audio version of chromecast that will have multi room capability by the end of the year. Would be sad if I had to move to google to get this functionality.

Dec 23, 2015 5:27 PM in response to gordon.andersenby iLookatthesky,Get AirParrot 2. It works perfectly with the iMac to stream to everything to multiple airplay devices (video and/or audio) including Pandora and the like.

Sep 20, 2016 9:33 AM in response to Pablo Cesarby Jeff9760,Agreed! I just disovered this problem too when setting up my home network. I'd love to be able to control all speakers in all rooms from my iPad but cannot do so. I have to use my Windows PC but that is way more inconvenient for me. When you spend thousands of dollars on iPads, iPad Pros and iPhones, that is simply not acceptable!
