Do I just need to reinstall from iLife install DVD? more

Gussing you need to Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto database from the last automatic backup - if that does not do it rebuild the database using each option one at a time until it is resolved
